I am married to my best friend, Melody. We have three beautiful and very active daughters, 17, 14, and 10 years old. I have served in various ministry roles since I was a freshman in college. These ministries include student camps and collegiate ministry, and church staff roles as Youth Minister, Executive Pastor and Senior Pastor. I love where I am in life and ministry and I am so thankful that the Lord is allowing me time and opportunity to do what I get to do. I am involved in speaking, writing, and consulting but nothing excites me more than to be able to challenge and encourage others towards reckless abandonment for the Gospel. I especially love being able to speak into the lives of this generation of students. I am convinced they will dramatically shape the spiritual landscape of the entire world.
In March of 2011, I began the latest chapter in my life by moving into a newly created position at Pinelake Church in Brandon, MS. I serve as Pastor of Church Planting & Ascend. In addition I also serve as a lead trainer with a national church planting network called LAUNCH. (www.launchstrong.com) Basically, I get to hang out with young pastors who are planting churches as well oversee the development of 9 ministry interns. I believe that helping leaders, churches, and ministry staffs learn how to maximize their gifts and strengths in order that the Gospel is fully lived out in their lives and ministry will be the greatest catalyst for advancing the Kingdom. Besides running my girls around to all of their activities, I also learn a lot about God and life through them…and they have taught me a lot. In addition to my family, I enjoy basketball, tennis, running and an occasional round of golf. I have been running in 5K, 10K races and marathons for the last several years. I also enjoy cycling, scuba diving, riding motorcycles, organizing things, reading about the church, learning how to live out the Gospel of Jesus to others, and doing just about anything that involves Melody. Melody is a gifted vocalist, serving in various places inside and outside the church. She spent a summer traveling with Crosspoint Sports Camp as a tennis instructor and Bible study leader. My daughters keep me involved in several activities from church to sports to school to community programs. As a family, we love to travel, watch movies, and hangout with others.
